High-speed processing
The 8055 CNC employs sophisticated algorithms necessary for generating a toolpath that accurately matches the programmed design for high-speed machining. With high computational power, a large lookahead buffer (up to 200 frames), and rapid frame rates (up to 1 millisecond), this CNC system enables the production of highly precise parts. To mitigate the impact of mechanical vibrations in machines with a non-rigid base, especially when subjected to high speeds and frequent direction changes, the 8055 CNC incorporates jerk control. This feature enables smooth and gradual acceleration during sudden speed changes, which minimizes mechanical vibrations. By minimizing vibrations, the machine experiences reduced mechanical stress while enabling smoother axis movements, allowing for higher feed rates and improved machining accuracy. This advanced feature provides a dual benefit.

The ICON Fagor Automation dialog mode allows manual machine operation without the need to create a program. The operator can fill the windows on the graphic screen with data based on the drawing data manually and get the tool position after moving to the desired point (Teach-in). A graphical simulation of the toolpath can easily be performed before the operation, allowing operators to check the final result and correct any possible errors made when defining the work cycle. Additionally, individual cycles previously executed can be saved in the program for later execution in the selected sequence, allowing for step-by-step or level-by-level program checking. The operator can also modify the programmed loop by working with the individual loops, and by pressing the "Recall" key, all loop data is automatically updated for quick and easy editing.

Programming in cycles

Part programs can utilize a combination of programming languages. When optimizing program performance to reduce machining runtime, ISO codes are recommended for their high performance capabilities. However, for small programs where startup and programming time are crucial, ICON dialog language provides an intuitive interface. The use of dialog loops not only simplifies programming, but also ensures safe operation. When programming in ISO codes, it is important to consider all movements, such as preceding and accompanying machining passes, tools, axis feed rates, and spindle speeds. Failure to do so could result in critical errors leading to personal injury or machine damage. Fortunately, the 8055 CNC's dialog mode takes these factors into account, minimizing the risk of such errors. In addition, the 8055 CNC provides a variety of cycles that cover most necessary operations. For more complex parts, the Fagor Automation CNC can import CAD files to be used in dialog cycles. With the ability to control all necessary toolpaths, the TNC ensures efficient and effective machining.
File protection

Upon completing the machine setup, this functionality enables the OEM to encrypt its files and safeguard their original form, thereby preventing any unauthorized usage by external entities. When attempting to download the data onto a PC, the user will only encounter unintelligible text.

Bode plot
